When an asteroid goes whirling though outer space, it collides with everything in its path.  It has no magnetic push to block the gravity from outside forces.  If an asteroid can push away other planets, it can become a planet one day.  Who knows, maybe it can even  have water and trees if it's lucky.
People are like asteroids.  Sometimes a person can try their best to succeed in life, but they never can because they keep getting knocked around.
I feel like an asteroid.
Just when I think I have got it all figured out, the universe sends a huge asteroid catapulting in my direction just to knock me down.
A few weeks ago, I made this brilliant scheme.  My son would do all the cleaning, laundry and dishes, and I would let him play video games for a few hours every day.  It was a win-win situation.  However, yesterday, he started to get frustrated because his younger siblings make these huge messes and they won't clean up after themselves.  So, my 13 year old formulated a meeting with them and made a strategic plan to teach them to help out.  I was so impressed.

Unfortunately, he's been setting the alarm clock to wake him up at six o clock every morning, just to make sure that nobody hogs the television and he doesn't get a chance to play.  He's been staying up late and waking up too early and it's paid it's toll.  Housework for 6 has been a little bit much work for a weary teenage body.

There was a terrible accident today.  A beloved friend and companion was lost today.  I should have known it was coming.  Last week, my husband dreamed his father died.  Last night, I dreamed my husband's grandfather died.  Usually dreams of death are an omen that foreshadow a tragic loss.
There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth in our household, today, I am sad to say.
While my son was washing dishes he accidentally swung his arm  causing a hard object to go whirling through the air into the living room...

And now there is no longer a television set in our household.
